All you have to do is turn on the TV or read through a magazine and you will see people that claim to have had amazing results from the latest diet. There are many popular ones today. The real question is, “do they really work?” Well, it depends. Most of them (95%) will never give you the results you are looking for because they are temporary. Many restrict calories so much that they are impossible to stick with. Some have you eating mostly protein in order to shed the weight.
When you are considering a diet, you need to look at the overall nutritional value of the diet. Does it provide you with all the vitamins, minerals and macro-nutrients needed to sustain a healthy lifestyle? Most do not. Most offer a quick solution to a problem that needs to be tackled with a complete lifestyle change.
The best advice I can give on fad diets is to avoid them! If you care about your health enough to consider a fad diet, why not change your lifestyle and learn to eat right, get active and watch the weight naturally go away? This is the only answer to weight loss.

Great post, I agree totally that fad diets like these should be avoided. Great point in the third paragraph about changing your lifestyle if you care enough about your health to consider one of these diets.
